Privacy policy for the tourism region
KSL Tourismus Marketing GmbH
Privacy policy for the tourism association
St. Kanzian am Klopeiner See
The protection of your personal data is very important to us. We therefore process your data exclusively on the basis of the statutory provisions (e.g. GDPR, TKG 2003). In this privacy policy, we inform you about the most important aspects of data processing in our company.
By using this website, you agree to these privacy policy provisions. The operator of this website is KSL Tourismus Marketing GmbH, based in 9122 St. Kanzian am Klopeiner See, Carinthia, Austria. This privacy policy applies regardless of the device used to access the website. The purpose of this privacy policy is to inform you in detail about how we handle your data.
Informational use
If you use this website without otherwise transmitting data to us (e.g. by registering or using the contact form), we collect technically necessary data that is automatically transmitted to our server, including:
IP address
Date and time of the request
Content of the request
Access status/HTTP status code
Browser type
Language and version of the browser software
Operating system
This is technically necessary in order to display our website to you. We also use the data to ensure the security and stability of our website. The legal basis for the collection is Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR.
Purpose of data collection
The website can be used at any time without providing personal data. Only access data without reference to the person is stored. This data helps us to improve our services and does not allow any conclusions to be drawn about the respective person. However, some of the services offered require users of the website to voluntarily disclose certain personal information on our website. In order to be able to offer and process these services, we need to be able to contact the customer (name, address, email address, telephone number) and require other information (e.g. booking requests, time, location, number of people, etc.). We use this data to fulfil our obligations to our users and customers and to advertise for our own purposes.
Processing and use of data
We process and use your data in order to provide the best possible services on the website. Among other things, the data helps us to process transactions requested by you and to make our website user-friendly.
Processing and use of personal data
We only process and use your personal data if you voluntarily provide it to us. In most cases, this occurs in connection with a service on our website (e.g. newsletter subscription, infoline callback assistant) or the provision of a service (e.g. booking or enquiry). User or customer data provided voluntarily and actively by the user is used exclusively for the purpose of fulfilling our services and for the purpose of advertising our own offers.
As a matter of principle, we do not process data relating to minors and are not authorised to do so. By giving your consent, you confirm that you are over 14 years of age or that you have the consent of your legal representative.
Photos published on our website
The photos of our products, business premises, employees or customers published on our website and on the internet are limited and are strictly subject to legal protection rights. Copying, saving, reading, reusing, processing and/or otherwise publishing them requires our express consent and is prohibited until such consent is given. Any violation will be reported without exception.
Photos of events
We take photos at events (e.g. during participation in an activity with the ‘Aktiv Card Klopeiner See - Südkärnten - Lavanttal’, ‘Begegnungen zwischen Berg & See’ programmes and at events organised by KSL Tourismus Marketing GmbH or the St. Kanzian am Klopeiner See Tourist Board, etc.) which are published on the website and in social media channels as well as in print media (e.g. brochures and folders, etc.). These are used for public relations, customer loyalty and presentation of our activities. We base this on our legitimate interest. We assume that our described interest in the creation and use of the photos does not excessively interfere with the rights and freedoms of natural persons. This is particularly the case since they have voluntarily entered the public space and, for example, have been informed in advance, at the event, etc., by signs or by our guides or employees about the creation and use of the photos. If, for particularly compelling reasons, the rights and freedoms of a person depicted are violated, we will refrain from further processing by taking appropriate measures. It is not possible to make images unrecognisable in print media that have already been distributed. Deletion from our website or social media channels will be carried out within the scope of technical possibilities.
Data processing when using our booking portal
We would like to point out that, for the purpose of simplifying the booking process and for subsequent contract processing, the web shop operator stores the IP data of the connection owner in cookies, as well as the name, address and contact details of the purchaser.
In addition, the following data is also stored by us for the purpose of contract processing: name, address and contact details of the purchaser. The data you provide is necessary for the fulfilment of the contract or for the implementation of pre-contractual measures. Without this data, we cannot conclude the contract with you in this form. Of course, you always have the option of contacting the accommodation provider directly.
After cancellation of the booking process, the data stored by us will be deleted. In the event of a contract being concluded, all data from the contractual relationship will be stored until the expiry of the statutory retention periods.
Data processing is carried out on the basis of the legal provisions of § 96 (3) TKG and Art. 6 (1) lit. a (consent) and/or lit. b (necessary for the fulfilment of the contract) of the GDPR.
DAC7 Directive
In principle, platforms have a legal obligation to collect, process and forward the data of the booked providers on the basis of the DAC7 Directive, which is implemented in Austria by the Digital Platforms Reporting Act (DPMG). Within the meaning of the GDPR, KSL Tourismus Marketing GmbH (Tourism Region Klopeiner See – Southern Carinthia – Lavanttal) is the ‘controller’ and processes this data exclusively for the purpose defined by the DPMG: collecting and storing data for the purpose of forwarding it to the tax authorities. KSL Tourismus Marketing GmbH is also obliged to store the data for 10 years. KSL Tourismus Marketing GmbH uses a system provided by feratel, which acts as a contract data processor. There are corresponding contract data agreements (AV) between feratel and KSL Tourismus Marketing GmbH. The use of the data by the contract data processor is excluded.
Disclosure of personal data
Personal data transmitted online will only be disclosed to third parties with your prior consent or on the basis of a legal obligation. Legal obligations include, in particular, court or administrative orders to disclose data in connection with illegal activities. This does not apply to the disclosure of data if this is directly necessary for the fulfilment of contractual obligations, such as for processing payments to the credit institution responsible for the payment, the disclosure of data to shipping companies responsible for delivery, guest data to the local authority for the legally required settlement of tourist tax, to our IT service provider for e.g. necessary security measures for our data (backups) or to our tax advisor for the fulfilment of our tax obligations.
Cookies and other technologies
As is common practice on many other company websites, KSL Tourismus Marketing GmbH also uses so-called ‘cookies’ and other technologies to gain a better insight into which areas of our websites are particularly popular, how our visitors navigate the website and how much time they spend in the various areas. In addition, KSL Tourismus Marketing GmbH uses other technologies to ensure that our online advertising is effective and actually draws customers' attention to our products and services. KSL Tourismus Marketing GmbH uses cookies and other technologies to analyse traffic on our website so that we can further improve its design and functionality and to examine the efficiency of communication with our customers. Furthermore, KSL Tourismus Marketing GmbH uses cookies to better tailor the website to your needs and to offer you even more convenience when navigating the site each time you visit.
Like most websites, we automatically collect certain information and store it in log files. This information includes Internet Protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet Service Provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, operating system, date/time stamps and clickstream data.
In some of our email messages, KSL Tourismus Marketing GmbH uses a so-called ‘click-through URL’ that is linked to content on our website. When you click on such a URL address, you pass through our web server before reaching the actual target web page. KSL Tourismus Marketing GmbH tracks this ‘click-through’ data to determine the level of interest in specific topics and to measure the effectiveness of our communication with our customers. If you wish to avoid such data being collected, simply do not click on any text or graphic links in emails.
In addition, KSL Tourismus Marketing GmbH uses so-called ‘pixel tags’ (tiny image files) that provide information about which areas of our websites customers have visited or measure how effective customers' searches on our website have been.
With the help of pixel tags, KSL Tourismus Marketing GmbH can also send e-mail messages in a format that can be read by the customer. In addition, we can use them to check whether e-mails have been opened to ensure that KSL Tourismus Marketing GmbH only sends messages that are of real interest to our customers.

If you are logged in to Facebook, the transmitted information can be directly assigned to your account.
